Ancud.

Ancud at the north end of Chiloe was founded in 1767 to defend the coastline from Spanish Royalists.

The defenses proved useless against the German settlers a hundred years on.

Behind the colourful fleet of fishing boats are the remains for the old fort.

The traditional dance done by the fisherfolk to ensure good luck on their next trip.

Relaxing watching the sun go down.
