Volcano Osorno & German buildings
The glaciated summit of Volcano Osorno (2652m).
Some of the hills were very steep.
Originally settled by Germans, Puerto Octay was a strange place and an uneasy mix of German and Mapuche residents.This is where we spent New Year.
Most of the locals were drunk and had fallen asleep in the streets by late afternoon on NY eve.
However they were all up bright and early and were well oiled and dancing in the streets by 10.30 NY day.
