On the road to Buta Ranquil

The same volcano. We started to think it was following us!

Unexpectedly the tarmac begins.

It's springtime in the Andes and goats are everywhere. On the move to their new summer pastures higher in the mountains.

After 3 days hard cycling we'd been looking forward to soaking in these hot springs.

Much to the amazment of the guy we paid the agua termales were stone cold...he just couldn't understand it! Perhaps the volcano was having a day off.

We camped right next to the bath, only to be awoken in the night choking on the sulphouros fumes.
